New to Hong Kong and looking for a real relationship? Your social circle is smaller than at home, work fills the week, and dating apps can feel endless. A matchmaker can help if you want one careful introduction at a time rather than another feed. Corner Table is for English-speaking professionals aged 18 or over. You do not need to speak Cantonese.
Language
Corner Table runs in English. We only introduce two people who share a language they could both spend an evening in. English is enough. If you also speak Cantonese, Mandarin or another language, say so: it widens who you can meet, but it is never required.
How long you plan to stay
Juno asks how long you plan to stay in Hong Kong. That matters for matching. Be honest. If you are here for a short contract, say so. Someone looking for a long-term partner in the city deserves to know.
Work and colleagues
We ask where you work so you are never matched with someone from your own firm. You can name other firms to avoid too. Your employer is never shown on an introduction.
First dates
We book a quiet public place. A first date is a drink. Treat it as you would any meeting with someone new. Safety advice.
Building a life here
Dating is one part of settling in. Friends, hobbies and neighbourhood routines help as much as any app or matchmaker. We do not promise you will meet someone. We promise one careful introduction a week when we have one, checked by a person, and a booked table when you both say yes.
